Friday: Mid-afternoon the PS Murray Princess departs historic Mannum, birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication, and heads upriver while you enjoy a Welcome Dinner. As we cruise under floodlight to the overnight mooring at Caurnamont you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairy- nosed wombats, tortoises, egrets and many other species. Murray Princess's on-board entertainer provides music for the night owls.
Saturday: Daybreak and time for the keen photographers to be out to capture the special light and the morning movement of wildlife. Prolific birdlife includes pelicans, wrens and swans. This morning, your discovery vessel awaits for a wildlife tour. Travelling in small, personalised groups, we explore the maze of the river and the birdlife is amazing. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges.
For those who choose to stay on-board, you may wish to partake in a game of bocce or compete in the fishing challenge before we cruise upriver to Swan Reach and Sugar Shack Conservation Park. After dinner, enjoy being entertained by talented crew.
Sunday: Continue cruising upriver this morning as we enjoy breakfast and pass through one of 13 locks which maintain the flow and levels of water. Arrive at the township of Blanchetown where we will be transferred by coach to the Riverland town of Waikerie. Enjoy some free time here before travelling to Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre near Kingston-On-Murray. Here we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch followed by a DVD presentation and wine tastings.
Mid-afternoon, we travel to Cadell where the PS Murray Princess will be waiting. This evening we will secure the vessel at Wilson’s Sandbar and after dinner, enjoy the on-board entertainment.
Monday: After breakfast, join the First Officer for a talk in the Sturt Dining Room as we continue cruising upriver to Qualco. From here, the Captain will turn the vessel around and begin the cruise downriver. Following lunch, we arrive at Caudo Vineyard where we will enjoy cellar door tastings and a tour of the gardens & orchards. This evening we secure the vessel at Morgan where we will enjoy dinner.
Tuesday: During the 1800’s, Morgan was the home port of hundreds of paddle steamers which carried cargo and passengers up the Murray-Darling River system. This morning we will hop ashore to see this historic town. The restored wharf precinct captures the early river trading days and the town’s museums bring to life the stories of the paddle steamer era. Back on board, we continue cruising downriver.
This afternoon we moor opposite to the township of Blanchetown for overnight anchorage. As the last rays of sun fade, we join a guided tour of Burk Salter Boutique Winery and enjoy wine tasting at the cellar door, which is fitted out with beautiful red gum wood bars. After dinner, join us for all the fun and excitement, and participate in “Murray River Cup".
Wednesday: After breakfast cruise to picturesque Swan Reach. The town was first settled in the 1850s and was originally the largest of five sheep and cattle stations in the area and is now home to native flower and fruit growers. The original Swan Reach homestead is now the Swan Reach Hotel where you can enjoy an ale or cappuccino overlooking the Murray River (additional cost). Join the guided walking tour and visit the Swan Reach Museum (Gold coin donation at entry). Cruise downriver after lunch and take in the tranquillity as the landscape slides by or enjoy a lifestyle and info-cruising presentation.
When we arrive at Sunnydale, it’s all ashore for the Woolshed Show as we recreate typical Australian woolshed history. Later we visit the Native Wildlife Shelter where some of South Australia’s most interesting native animals are cared for. And then of course, there is the great Aussie Barbecue – cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River. An optional Nocturnal tour by tractor and cart is available after dinner (additional cost).
Thursday: After an optional Bush Tucker Breakfast (additional cost) or a bush walk with the Captain, we slowly cruise downriver past magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years. We reach Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites, for a step back in time – tens of thousands of years – for a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and to learn about aboriginal history in the area.
We return to the vessel to cruise downriver to Younghusband. Along the way, adventure seekers can also take a speedboat ride. Tonight the Captain and his officers host a spectacular Farewell Captain’s Buffet Dinner. Dress up and dance, if you wish.
Friday: We leave Younghusband and head back to Mannum. After breakfast we reluctantly say farewell as we arrive at the Mannum Wharf.

- Dining aboard Murray Princess includes delicious table d'hote menus, Captain's Dinner and buffet dining, with a special campfire barbecue (seven and four night cruises only). Breakfasts are buffet style. There is one sitting for all meals.

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or the cruise operator's error. In such a case, if you make a reservation enquiry with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.
Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a â€œCRâ€ reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking â€“ please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name â€œfor up to 5 daysâ€ as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.
Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.
Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus and applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.
Transfer to a new cruise/fare
From time to time cruise lines may advertise lower promotional cruise fares; these fares are not always available to existing bookings, however Cruise Republic will endeavour to accommodate any request to change to the lower fare. Please note this request is at the discretion of the cruise lines so is not always possible. New promotional fares may affect your current booking, resulting in reduced on-board credit.
If we are able to transfer you at the lower promotional fare a fee of $100 will be applied to your booking. Once final payment has been made for your cruise we are unable to lower the fare.
If you choose to transfer your cruise deposit to an alternative cruise departure this will also incur a fee of $100.
Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.
Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.
Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments and 0.5% for Debit Cards. We also accept PayPal with a 1% transaction fee and AMEX which incur a 3.2% credit card fee. Payments made by bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.
On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.
'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings
From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.
Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail.
Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.
Future Cruise Credits
While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.
Passport & Visa Requirements.
For all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity from the cruise return date.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.

All services and reservations provided are subject to the conditions of the principal providers and no responsibility is accepted by SeaLink Travel Group for misrepresentation, unforeseen omissions or additional costs incurred, including those arising from adverse weather conditions or any situations beyond the control of SeaLink Travel Group.
All fares and prices are in Australian Dollars. All fares and prices are subject to availability, surcharges, blackout periods, minimum night stays and seasonal variations.
Booking and Final Payment
To make a booking, a deposit of between $250 per person is required within 48 hours of booking.
If booking is made within 60 days of travel, full payment must be made at time of booking.
Final payment is required within 60 days prior to travel.
Child prices generally apply to children aged 3 to 14 years, inclusive. In some cases this may vary so please enquire at the time of booking. Accommodation for children under 3 is generally free of charge but some properties may impose a small charge and/or a fee for providing a cot. Children under 3 years are not recommended on Murray Princess Cruises.
Twin share prices are based on a 'double' - two people sharing a double bed (queen or king beds at some properties) or 'twin', consisting of two single beds. Please request either a 'double' or 'twin' at the time of reservation. 'Extra adult' prices are based on sharing with two other adults in the same room. Should the extra adult wish to have their own room they will be charged at 'single' rates. Single' prices are based on a person having their own room. 'Extra Child' prices are based on sharing the same room with two or more adults. Triple share prices are based on three people sharing one room with existing bedding (eg double/queen or king bed and a single bed).
As most cabins on the Murray Princess have twin beds, a surcharge applies to cabins with a double bed.
All cancellations must be in writing and the timing shall be based on the day of of such notification by Blue Lagoon Cruises.
Full payment of fare required 70 days prior to sailing date unless credit facilities in place.

For cancellations made 15 days or more before departure, the full value (less an administration fee of $50 per person), may be applied to another cruise if completed within 12 months of the original booking.
If the re-booked cruise is of a greater value, the difference must be paid upon re-booking. Special payment and cancellation conditions apply for groups of 15 or more and Special Event Cruises, which are available on application.
* An additional Cruise Republic cancellation fee of $200.00 per cabin will apply.
Due to the complexity, staff time and communication costs of the booking process, a charge of $72 (incl GST) may apply to each modification made after the original booking.
Holiday plans can be disrupted and cancellation fees can be costly. Travel insurance is inexpensive and highly recommended. Please note that Travel Insurance may not cover disruptions caused by mechanical breakdowns or adverse weather conditions so please check your insurance policy.
