Day 1: Arles
Welcome to France. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the ship where you will be welcomed by your Captain and crew. Tonight enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board.
Day 2: Arles - Avignon
Join your local guide for a walking tour showcasing the highlights of the city in particular the exterior of the 2000 year old Roman Amphitheatre still in use today, which was originally built to hold 20,000 spectators in the style of the Colosseum in Rome.

Day 3: Avignon
Avignon has a rich history from Celtic beginnings to being the residence of the Popes and later central to the French Revolution. Although a fortified town, it is the Papal Palace which stands more secure on a hill in the centre of town; its walls are 17–18 feet thick. Your guided walk with a local guide takes you through this historic centre strolling the cobbled laneways and browsing the shops, overlooking the famous “Pont de Avignon”. Youre Invited: Provencal dinner on board hosted by a popular local chef as well as traditional local style concert known as Chanson music.

Day 4: Tournon
Join your local guide for a walking tour of Tournon, which is dominated by the 16th century castle and roman ruins, and is nestled in the valley near the steep slopes of le Massif Central, France's 3rd largest mountain range. The area has a long tradition in wine making, including the renowned wine growing centre of Tain l'Hermitage across the river. Emerald Active: Guided biking tour to Glun. Day 5: Macon
Arrive in Macon, another important wine region and gateway to the Beaujolais vineyards. Walk the Heritage Trail from Old Saint Vincent to the General Hospital buildings, half–timbered house and Soufflot Chapel, maybe trying some local wines at the many tasting displays in the town. Enjoy time at leisure in the afternoon.

Day 6: Chalon-Sur-Saone Beaune
Chalon–Sur–Saone is best known as the birthplace of photography and the centre of Burgundy’s wine region. Travel by road to the quaint village of Beaune, where we visit the Hospices de Beaune, one of the finest examples of French fifteenth–century architecture. Marvel at the multi–coloured roofs of this former hospital, now a museum, which has become one of the symbols of Burgundy. Return to the ship for lunch, and depart this afternoon for Lyon arriving in the evening. Tonight, enjoy local entertainment on board.
Day 7: Lyon
Lyon is France’s third largest city, a former Roman capital positioned at the conference of the Rhone and Saone rivers, which is steeped in history. Your tour starts with a drive to the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere, Lyon’s hilltop church, with stunning views over the town. Then pass by the recently re–discovered Roman amphitheatre and walk through the cobbled streets of the gastronomic old town including the secret laneways.

Day 8: Lyon - Disembarkation
After breakfast disembark your river cruise ship and transfer to the airport for your onward or homebound flight.

The Emerald ‘Star Ships’ are luxury floating hotels which impress from the moment you step on board. Four of Europe’s newest and most deluxe vessels – Emerald Sky and Emerald Star launched in 2014, and Emerald Sun and Emerald Dawn in 2015– are owned and operated by Evergreen Tours, setting new standards and offering guests the opportunity to experience some of the finest vessels in Europe.
With more space per person than most other operators, and exceptional features like floor to ceiling windows in the Horizon Bar and in all public areas, our ships provide an overwhelming sense of light and space. The public areas are well-designed with our guests in mind. Take a dip in our 24 sq m heated swimming pool at the rear of the Horizon Deck. A retractable roof allows you to enjoy it in all conditions. At night, the pool is covered by an extended floor and the area transforms into an entertainment lounge, hosting movie nights and other functions.
The Reflections Restaurant is a relaxed setting to enjoy our superb on board cuisine and complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks are served with lunch and dinner. Lunch is freshly prepared featuring a tempting array of hot and cold dishes, and in the evenings you will
feast on a delicious four course dinner.
The Terrace, on the ship’s bow, is perfect for al fresco dining. For early risers, it’s a quiet spot to watch the sunrise and enjoy your coffee and a light breakfast.
With panoramic views of the spectacular scenery, The Terrace is also a lovely alternative for a café-style lunch or to catch the late afternoon breezes with a chilled drink. Emerald Balcony Suite
- The spacious Emerald Balcony Suites are located on the Horizon (R or P category) and Vista Decks (A, B or C category). These Suites are 180 sq ft (16.7 sq m) and are blessed with an innovative indoor balcony. At the touch of a button the top section of your loor to ceiling window drops down, looding your Suite with fresh air and providing seamless views.
- All Emerald Balcony Suites include a lat screen TV with infotainment system, individual air conditioning system, a personal safe, fridge,
hairdryer, hotel-style beds, an ensuite bathroom, complimentary Wi-Fi and bottled water daily.
- The Balcony Suites on the Horizon Deck (R or P category) also enjoy the desirable upper deck views as well as additional inclusions like

- Measuring 162 sq ft (15 sq m) the Emerald Staterooms are located on the Riviera Deck. Although the interior fixtures and amenities are identical to the Emerald Balcony Suites, the Emerald Staterooms have a small ixed picture window due to the lower deck position.

Owner's One Bedroom Suite

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or the cruise operator's error. In such a case, if you make a reservation enquiry with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website. At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.
Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a â€œCRâ€ reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking â€“ please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name â€œfor up to 5 daysâ€ as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.
Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.
Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus and applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.
Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.
Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.
Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments. We also accept AMEX which incur a 3.2% credit card fee. Debit cards are processed like a credit card therefore credit card fees will apply per transaction. Payments made by bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.
On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.
'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings
From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.
Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail.
Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.
Future Cruise Credits
While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.
Passport & Visa Requirements.
For all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity from the cruise return date.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.
