The atmosphere on board is laid-back and somewhat traditional, making this an ideal ship for first-time cruisers or those who are looking to enjoy a holiday at sea without the fancy extras that many ships are now famous for, such as theme parks and adrenalin-pumping activities.

Entertainment: Sea Princess activities
There's plenty to do on board the Sea Princess, day and night. Daytime fun tends to be centred around organised activities, such as trivia games and enrichment seminars, while evening entertainment highlights include live shows at the Princess Theater and socialising in one of many bars and lounges.

Entertainment on board the Sea Princess cruise ship

Daytime activities on board the Sea Princess
One of the best things about going on a cruise is that there are so many different ways to have fun - there's an activity for every personality type! Whether you enjoy low-key entertainment such as relaxing by the pool with a cocktail in hand, or you'd rather socialise from dawn to dusk, there'll be something for you.

If you like group activities, enrichment classes and trivia games are hosted most days. If you're after some peace and quiet, you'll love the Sanctuary, an adults-only retreat, and the beautiful Lotus Spa.

The Sea Princess pools, spas and fitness facilities
There are four main pool areas and several whirlpools on board the Sea Princess. Most pools are family friendly, apart from the Lotus Spa pool, which is perfect for a relaxing soak away from the crowds.

Speaking of the Lotus Spa, this luxurious centre offers a variety of treatments to leave you feeling pampered and indulged, such as massages, facials and manicures. Also located near this spa is the fitness area, which is equipped with free weights and cardio machines and home to some group classes.

Evening entertainment on board the Sea Princess
Night owls are absolutely spoiled for choice on the Sea Princess, with several bars and lounges for socialising and dancing, as well as a state-of-the-art theater. There's fun happening in nearly every corner of the ship!

No matter what you do, make time to see at least one production show at the Princess Theater. The performances are excellent and make for a wonderful night at sea. Other live acts such as comedians, musicians and magicians can also be found here, or playing at other venues throughout the ship like the Vista Show Lounge or Wheelhouse Bar.

If it's late-night dancing you're after, take your dancing feet to the Razzmatazz Nightclub. Here you'll always find a good time, with popular music and other party-goers adding to the fun atmosphere.

Sea Princess family fun
This family-friendly cruise ship caters for children of all ages, with a range of supervised youth programmes to keep your little ones entertained and out of trouble while you relax and enjoy some holiday bliss.

There are three different programmes, organised by age. 3 to 7 year olds have fun in the Princess Pelicans, with activities such as arts and crafts, kids karaoke and age-appropriate toys and games. Shockwaves is for ages 8 to 12 and activities tend to revolve around low-key competitions and educational fun, like cooking demonstrations. Teenagers will be found hanging out at Remix and are usually reasonably self-sufficient, keeping themselves entertained with films and video games.

The children's programmes run nearly around the clock, with activities starting in the morning and finishing after dinner. Parents can choose to enrol their kids in group babysitting from 10pm to 1am if they so desire, but please note that there is no private in-cabin babysitting service.
