Onboard experience
- P&O Cruises has a proud tradition of giving passengers the very best - and they don't come much better than Atul Kochhar. Atul's restaurant, Sindhu, will showcase an elegant fusion of indian and British cuisine featuring sublime flavours, daring taste combinations and exquisite presentation. His Soft Shell Crab and Squid Salad in particular is sure to be a favourite. Passengers will also be able to order from a lighter menu for a more informal bite to eat, or sample one of Atul's Exotic cocktails from the equally chic bar.
- The Conservatory is located atop the Artemis on Lido Deck. Here you will have a wondrous view through the floor to ceiling windows. The atmosphere is informal as you serve yourself. The array of food laid out before is very tantalizing and it is hard to resist the urge to overindulge. You can have all three meals here as well as afternoon tea. In the evening the restaurant becomes a grill and in warmer weather you can dine on the terrace.
- The entrance to the Coral Dining Room is from the Garden Court – the lower level of the Atrium. View the ocean through the windows on the port and starboard sides. The room is decorated in soft pastel colors accentuated by attractive paintings of the Mediterranean countryside. Four marble pillars stand in the center of the room. You can also dine here all through the day capping off the day with an elegant six-course meal.
Stage Shows
- Carmen’s show lounge, at the stern of the ship on Promenade Deck, is a real entertainment hub. Offering excellent views of the large rectangular stage from anywhere in the room, you can enjoy an evening of comedy here or take in a sophisticated cabaret. The shows are fantastic! Filled with soft comfortable furnishings and decorated in traditional colours with contemporary light wood, Carmen’s creates an intimate and inviting feel; a place where you can really relax and enjoy the entertainment. The full service bar will create your favourite concoction, and when the show is over you can dance the night away on the spectacular large inlaid-wooden dance floor.
- The 660-seat Curzon Theatre is located in the forward part of the ship on Promenade Deck. A traditional theatre colour scheme of rich red, blue, gold and maroon, combined with Tudor rose motifs and heraldic designs, was used to bring something of the atmosphere of Shakespeare’s England onto a world-class superliner. Yet the theatre has all the very latest technical advantages. With its high-tech lighting and sound equipment and its revolving, 74-feet-wide stage, every performance has a West End glitter and the performers love this theatre as much as you will. And with a different musical spectacular every night, you are sure to be there time and time again.
Kids Club
- The Children’s Play Area is conveniently placed on the port side of D Deck at the stern, next to the Terrace Pool and the Paddling Pool. This outdoor area is the perfect place for small children to play; it’s secure, has a roof, and the deck is covered in a non-slip material. There’s also access to the Paddling Pool. You’re little ones will love the colourful rocking horses, tractors, slides and other toys, and you will love the area’s close proximity to the family orientated Terrace Pool.
Swimming
- Midships on Lido Deck is the Aurora’s largest swimming pool, the Crystal Pool. One of its most striking features is the sliding, clear glass Skydome, which allows swimming in any weather. It keeps out the chilly breezes and lets in the warm sunshine. The Crystal Pool is over 32 feet long and 19 feet wide and has two adjoining jacuzzis, as well as a conveniently located bar. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the deck of the pool on two levels, as the Sun Deck above also overlooks the pool.
- Located on A Deck and cleverly sheltered from the wind by the Lido and Sun Decks, you’ll find the Riviera Pool. At 29 feet long and 19 feet wide, it’s the second largest pool on Aurora. The overflow from the pool forms a gentle waterfall, which runs down to the next level, where a tempting jacuzzi waits. The full-service Riviera Bar is conveniently close and overlooks the entire pool area, and sun worshippers will enjoy the three terraces full of deck chairs that surround the pool.
Sports and Spa
- On the stern end of Sun Deck, just aft of the golf nets and sports court, you’ll find the Golf Simulator. Prepare for the ultimate indoor golf experience, where you can play a round on some of the world’s greatest golf courses, including the Belfry, St. Andrews, Valderrama and Bay Hill in Florida. With 30 courses to choose from you can challenge your friends or join in the tournaments that are held on board. Using the latest in virtual reality it is the next best thing to being there.
- Midships and just forward of the Riviera Pool on A Deck is Weights & Measures, Aurora’s Gym. This hi-tech facility offers a superb range of the latest cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, as well as a full exercise studio. A trained and sympathetic instructor will help you find the correct fitness programme for your age and capability and will check that you are exercising safely and effectively. After a rigorous session in the gym, you can take the spiral staircase up to the Oasis Spa on the Lido Deck above and enjoy a relaxing massage or sauna.
Bars and Lounges
- Midships on Promenade Deck lies Masquerade – the glitziest nightclub afloat. Very chic and ultra-modern, this is the place for late night action. The futuristic décor and video wall create a backdrop for a fast paced evening. Add the most up-to-date tunes and the latest high-tech sound equipment, with an unbelievable lighting system and you can be assured of a fantastic evening experience. It’s very current, very exciting and simply very brilliant.
- Located at the stern, high on Lido Deck, the Pennant Bar adds a taste of the tropics to Aurora. This outdoor island bar over looks the ships fabulous tiered decks and is the centre of many lunchtime activities, including themed lunches like the much loved and anticipated Neptune’s Buffet. In the evening it is the perfect location to watch the ship’s wake as it stretches out and winds its way into the sunset.
- High up on Sun Deck at the forward end of the ship you will find The Crow’s Nest. At 105 feet above the waterline, this stylish cocktail bar is higher than the bridge and affords the ship’s most amazing views. By day you can watch the glistening sea as the world floats by in this comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. But as evening draws in The Crow’s Nest comes into its own; with a light tickling of the ivories to set the mood, there’s no better vantage point from which to enjoy a dramatic sunset at sea.
Shopping
- Located on Promenade Deck, just forward of the central lifts and next to Charlie’s is Mayfair. This elegant boutique provides the most recent fashions in men’s and ladies’ formal wear, sparkling designer jewellery, and the biggest names in perfumes and cosmetics. Friendly shop assistants will ensure that you are dressed to the nines, with all the necessary accessories and wearing your favourite scent. You are on holiday, go ahead and spoil yourself!
Casino
- Just aft of midships on Promenade Deck is the Monte Carlo Club Casino, Aurora’s very own slice of sophisticated glamour from the Riviera. The Monte Carlo Club is the perfect place for roulette, blackjack and poker, and there is a good variety of slot machines for you to play. Stop by and find out if Lady Luck is with you!
Deck Quoits
- The Terrace rise from Deck 4 to 8 in sweeping tiered decks, providing a stunning architecturally pleasing aft end to artemis. It begins at the promenade deck, where you can play deck quoits, and ends at lido deck, the deck in between provide a wonderful retreat for sun worshipers who wish to gaze out over the mesmerising wake of the ship.
