The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or the cruise operator's error. In such a case, if you make a reservation enquiry with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website. When making a reservation via this website or over the phone, we ask you to agree to the terms and conditions displayed. Your reservation and cruise holiday will be governed by the terms of the agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you before you depart. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Once your cruise has commenced, if the cruise line is required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life or health, Cruise Republic will not be required to provide any compensation. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of Victoria and the jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.

Booking information

To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology.

At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.

Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a CR reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name for up to 5 days as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.

Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure

In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.

Amendments

Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus any applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy. All amendments are required to be sent in writing by the lead passenger in the booking. Fare amendments are subject to change until confirmed and paid. Any Name Changes must be completed a minimum 72 hours prior to departure

Transfer to a new cruise/fare

From time to time cruise lines may advertise lower promotional cruise fares; these fares are not always available to existing bookings, however Cruise Republic will endeavour to accommodate any request to change to the lower fare. Please note this request is at the discretion of the cruise lines so is not always possible. New promotional fares may affect your current booking, resulting in reduced on-board credit.

If we are able to transfer you at the lower promotional fare a fee of $100 will be applied to your booking. Once final payment has been made for your cruise we are unable to lower the fare.

If you choose to transfer your cruise deposit to an alternative cruise departure this will also incur a fee of $100.

Cancellations

Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy. All cancellations are required to be sent in writing by the lead passenger in the booking. Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.

Payments

Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments. Payments made by domestic bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.

Flights and Hotels

Flights and Accommodation cancellation fees and amendment fees will apply as set out by the airlines and hotels. An additional $50 per person cancellation fee applies to all hotel cancellations and flight cancellations. All fly/cruise packages are based on the best available flight and hotel at time of pricing and while we may not be able to get the exact airline or hotel we will book a similar acceptable option. Flight packages will all include a free checked baggage allowance and meals.

Onboard Credits

On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.

'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings

From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.

Complimentary Upgrades

Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail. Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.

Future Cruise Credits

While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.

Passport & Visa Requirements.

or all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity on your return date back home.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.

Privacy of your information is an absolute priority to us. When you book we request whether you are interested in receiving further offers from us. If you decline, we will not email you with such offers. We also always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe and opt out of receiving these emails. We treat your details as confidential and we NEVER disclose your information to third parties other than the supplier who is fulfilling your cruise holiday.

All amendments and any cancellations must be approved through the first person named on the booking. In the case of any in-cabin disputes our contract is with the first person named on the booking and we will only follow instructions given by them.

These are the terms and conditions under which you book your cruise holiday and travel on any MSC Cruises product we sell you. You are bound by these terms and conditions, so it is important that you read them carefully.

Upon signing the Booking Form or payment in full of the passenger fare applicable at final payment, a contract (the “CONTRACT”) will come into existence. These Conditions of Carriage set out the terms that govern the relationship, responsibilities and liabilities as between the Passenger and the Carrier and are BINDING ON THE PARTIES. The Passenger has entered into a Passage Contract with MSC Crociere SA (“Organiser”) and these conditions have been incorporated into the Passenger’s contract with the Organiser. These Terms and Conditions of Carriage will also apply where the vessel is being used as a floating hotel whether or not there is a Passage Contract and whether or not there is any carriage. The Carrier reserves the right to amend, modify or change the Conditions of Carriage at any time without prior notice.

Payments

Once you have decided on your holiday, we will need a non refundable/non transferable deposit to secure your booking. It is essential that deposits are received by us within seven (7) days or earlier if advised at time of booking to secure your fare. If payment is not received within this time, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

Balance of Cruise: Payment is required 90 days prior to cruise departure or departure from Australia or New Zealand unless special payment conditions apply. Additional services (including shore excursions, transfers, airfares pre/post hotels, onboard packages etc) must be booked prior to the final payment. No bookings for additional services will be accepted three weeks prior to departure from Australia or New Zealand. Additional services booked after final payment and prior to 3 weeks before departure will incur an AUD or NZD $55.00 amendment fee per booked service.
Online Republic fees of $25.00 may be in addition to this.

If you are making a booking within the ‘Final Payment Due’ period of your selected cruise, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cruise Tickets

We will send your travel documents to you after final payment has been received and usually 3-4 weeks prior to your departure date. All air/land packages and prepaid additional travel services must be booked and confirmed prior to final payment and issue of travel documents. Documents will not be released without a fully completed Booking Form/Online Check-In and all payments and fees have been received. MSC Cruise baggage labels are provided at the port.

If this is not completed there will be delays with your documentation and a $55.00 late ticket issue fee incurred. Online Republic fees of $25.00 may be in addition to this.

Please ensure you let us know if your postal address has changed.

Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellation notices must be advised in writing.  Cancelling for whatever reason will be subject to the following charges:

Amendment of Booking

If you amend your cruise booking after receiving confirmation and non refundable/non transferable deposit has been paid a charge of AUD/NZD$100.00 per person amendment will be incurred. This cruise amendment fee is in additional to any amendment fees or charges applied for additional travel services, airfares, group or special packages. One name change is permitted on cruise bookings once deposit is received of AUD/NZD$100.00.
Additional name changes on cruise bookings will be charged as per cancellation fees above. Name changes on airfares, groups, special packages or additional travel services may not be permitted and additional cancellation fees or charges in addition to the cruise fees will apply.
Online Republic fees of $50.00 may be in addition to this.

Change of cruise is non refundable and non transferable at any time.

Children and Teenager Fares

Children under the age of 12 years cruise free when sharing one cabin with 2 paying adults in selected cabin categories. In all instances port charges are additional. Details of these charges will be provided by your cruise consultant and amounts confirmed at time of booking.  A full deposit is still required per child and this amount will be deducted from the total cabin fare if less then the taxes

All airline charges including taxes and fuel charges and any land arrangements are additional charges for children.

Hotel Service Charges

During your cruise you will meet staff throughout the ship who provide you with excellent service. They are support by just as many staff and crew who work hard behind the scenes to ensure you enjoy every moment of your cruise. For your convenience MSC Cruises automatically add a daily Hotel Service charge to your shipboard account, based on your chosen itinerary and the number of days for which the services are actually provided. The Hotel Service Charge serves to ensure we maintain the highest quality standards of service to our guests. The daily amounts below are calculated with this in mind and cannot be modified. However, should you wish to remove any of the daily Hotel Service Charge in the unlikely event that you do not receive satisfactory service, you may do so by contacting the Guest Relations Manager onboard. MSC cruises does not recommend tipping individual members of staff.

Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Abu Dhabi and Emirates cruises:
Adults (18 yrs and over) -
9 days/8 nights or less: €7.00 per adult per night
10 days/9 nights or more: €6.00 per adult per night including Ocean Voyages to/from Abu Dhabi and the Emirates

Children (Between 14 – 17)
9 days/8 nights or less: €3.50 per child per night
10 days/9 nights or more: €3.00 per child per night including Ocean Voyages to/from Abu Dhabi and the Emirates

There are no Hotel Service charge for children under the age of 14 years.

For Caribbean cruises, South America and any other Ocean Voyages – please refer to the MSC Brochure.

Special Diets/Special Requests

Any special dietary requirements/allergies or special requests must be advised in as much detail as possible on the Booking Form prior to departure from Australia or New Zealand. Descriptions such as “Vegetarian” are not sufficient.

The company will make all reasonable endeavours to comply with requests but cannot be held liable in relation to the inability to provide the required dietary or special requirement or the inability to provide a variety of special dietary meals or to meet any other special requests advised onboard.

Break of Voyage

If for any reason you are departing the ship prior to the end of the cruise, please contact Reception. You will be asked to complete a “Break of Cruise” form to provide clearance to leave the ship. Surcharges may apply and will be advised at time of confirmation of break of cruise whether pre-booked before departure from Australia and/or New Zealand or arranged onboard the ship.

Passports and Visas

All passengers must be in possession of a current full passport, valid for the entire period of the cruise holiday with the required correct number of blank pages and must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date to Australia or New Zealand. Certain countries insist on machine readable passports in particular Russia and the USA. All individual passengers are responsible for reviewing and obtaining any required visas.

Australia and New Zealand Government Travel Advisories

The Department of Foreign Affairs issues Travel Advisory Notices and helpful information for the benefit of all travellers, we recommend visiting www.smarttraveller.com.au prior to your departure for useful travel assistance.

Travel Insurance

A Comprehensive travel insurance policy should be considered for the duration of your holiday at your own expense. Such insurance should ensure that you are fully covered against unexpected cancellation charges, medical expenses, and loss of luggage, money or personal liability. A waiver form will be required by MSC Cruises should you decide not to take out travel insurance.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic drinks, including wines, spirits and beers or other liqueurs are available for purchase onboard the Vessel at fixed prices. Passengers are not permitted to bring onboard any such drinks for use during the Voyage, whether for consumption in their own cabins or otherwise. Alcoholic drinks in any form will not be sold to Minors during the cruise. When the itinerary includes a port located in the USA the same conditions will apply for any Passengers under the age of 21.

MSC Cruises may confiscate alcohol brought onboard by Passengers.

Legal Matters

The applicable law for these Conditions of Carriage shall be Australian Law.

All claims against MSC Cruises shall be brought in and be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Australia.

The Carrier shall be under no liability whatsoever in respect of any claim arising from an accident which was not reported by the Passenger to the Master whilst onboard the Vessel.

Notices of claim for death, illness, emotional stress or personal injury, with full particulars in writing shall be given to The Carrier and the Vessel within six (6) months (185 days) after the date such death, injury, or illness occurring. Such notice shall be sent by registered mail to:
