La Terrazza

An iconic hallmark of Silversea dining, La Terrazza offers authentic recipes and the freshest ingredients from our distinctive Italian heritage. This is where antipasti, primi and secondi come together with passion and flair in a flavourful expression from corporate chef Alberto Colombo’s imagination. Together with our partnership with Slow Food, La Terrazza aboard Silver Muse offers innovative interactive food stations: an olive oil cellar, a mozzarella bar, a seafood station and of course a salumeria. Kaiseki

One of the most immediately recognisable characteristics of Japanese culture by its stunning costumes and elaborate make-up, the ancient art of Kaiseki theatre reflects a passion for tradition and performance. Our reinterpretation of these values is clear. Guests at Kaiseki are treated to a theatrical production of flavours, tastes and senses. The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or the cruise operator's error. In such a case, if you make a reservation enquiry with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website. When making a reservation via this website or over the phone, we ask you to agree to the terms and conditions displayed. Your reservation and cruise holiday will be governed by the terms of the agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you before you depart. Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Once your cruise has commenced, if the cruise line is required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life or health, Cruise Republic will not be required to provide any compensation. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of Victoria and the jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.

Booking information

To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology.

At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.

Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a “CR” reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking – please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name “for up to 5 days” as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.

Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure

In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.

Amendments

Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus and applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.

Transfer to a new cruise/fare

From time to time cruise lines may advertise lower promotional cruise fares; these fares are not always available to existing bookings, however Cruise Republic will endeavour to accommodate any request to change to the lower fare. Please note this request is at the discretion of the cruise lines so is not always possible. New promotional fares may affect your current booking, resulting in reduced on-board credit.

If we are able to transfer you at the lower promotional fare a fee of $100 will be applied to your booking. Once final payment has been made for your cruise we are unable to lower the fare.

If you choose to transfer your cruise deposit to an alternative cruise departure this will also incur a fee of $100.

Cancellations

Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.

Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.

Payments

Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments and 0.5% for Debit Cards. We also accept PayPal with a 1% transaction fee and AMEX which incur a 3.2% credit card fee. Payments made by bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.

Onboard Credits

On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.

'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings

From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.

Complimentary Upgrades

Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail. Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.

Future Cruise Credits

While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.

Passport & Visa Requirements.

For all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity from the cruise return date.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.

Privacy of your information is an absolute priority to us. When you book we request whether you are interested in receiving further offers from us. If you decline, we will not email you with such offers. We also always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe and opt out of receiving these emails. We treat your details as confidential and we NEVER disclose your information to third parties other than the supplier who is fulfilling your cruise holiday.

All amendments and any cancellations must be approved through the first person named on the booking. In the case of any in-cabin disputes our contract is with the first person named on the booking and we will only follow instructions given by them.

Terms & Conditions apply to all vessels unless otherwise noted. Any and all information contained herein is in effect at the time of publication and is subject to change at any time.

Itinerary arrival and departure times are always subject to change without notice. Silversea reserves the right to cancel, alter, advance, postpone or substitute any scheduled sailing or itinerary, substitute another vessel for the scheduled ship, or substitute or cancel scheduled ports of call, which, in its sole judgement and discretion, is justified for any reason, and to do so without liability for any loss whatsoever to guests as a result of said change(s). Additionally, Silversea reserves the right to cancel reservations and bookings in the event of a full-ship charter, whether or not a deposit or full payment has been received, and in such event, Silversea’s only liability will be to refund to the guest the amount it has received. For published segmented voyages, a limited number of suites are available. Segments are capacity controlled.

Silversea makes arrangements for transportation, other than ocean passage, only as a booking agent. Silversea’s responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel. In arranging for the transportation of guests to and from the ship, Silversea does so with independent contractors. Silversea is not responsible for incidents such as airline cancellations, re-routings or any disruption of scheduled services or accommodation, or lost luggage.

Inclusions
Your cruise-only fare covers most shipboard services including: suite accommodation, all onboard meals and entertainment, all gratuities aboard ship (except spa) and complimentary beverages aboard ship (including select wines, champagnes and spirits). On a limited number of select sailings, a special Silversea Experience shore event is also included.

Exclusions
Optional hotel accommodation, transfers and luggage handling, fuel surcharges, optional shore excursions, meals ashore, meals in Le Champagne and Seishin Restaurant, accommodation whilst ashore, security surcharges, casino gaming, laundry or valet services, purchases from the ship boutiques, childcare services aboard ship or any item or service of a personal nature such as massages, spa treatments, private fitness instruction, hair styling and manicures. Some champagne, premium wine and spirit selections, caviar, cigarettes and cigars are not included in your fare.

Payment Schedule
To reserve your Silversea cruise, a 25% deposit of the total cruise fare is required within seven days of booking or sooner, depending on voyage and time of booking. An additional Cruise Republic deposit of $50 per person (total of $100) will need to be paid on top of the Silversea deposit.

Full payment is due no later than 120 days prior to departure.

Final documentation will be issued after receipt of final payment and approximately 30 days prior to sailing. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date, and are guaranteed only when paid in full 120 days prior to sailing. Reservations made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner, as specified by Silversea.

Cruise Fare

Under normal conditions the cruise-only fare is guaranteed at the time of booking. However, the fare that you pay is determined far in advance of initial departure on the basis of then-existing projections of fuel and other costs. In the event of any significant change in such costs beyond Silversea’s control, including but not limited to increases in the price of fuel, currency fluctuations affecting Silversea’s costs, increases in government taxes or levies, or increased security costs, Silversea reserves the right to surcharge guests to cover such unexpected costs. Silversea has the right to refuse to transport guests unless the additional surcharge is paid in advance of initial departure.

Changes & Cancellations

Silversea’s cancellation penalties as described here are strictly enforced. No refund or adjustment will be made in the event of interruption or cancellation of the cruise holiday after the commencement of same. Silversea reserves the right to re-invoice in the event of errors.

Cruise Cancellations
If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation or any component thereof, you or your travel professional are required to contact the Silversea Reservations Department by telephone as well as submit your cancellation in writing. If your cancellation request is received more than 120 days prior to your initial sailing date, a full refund of the amount already paid to Silversea will be made. Cruise tickets must be returned to Silversea before refunds (if owed) can be processed.

Cruise cancellation requests received within 120 days of the initial sailing date will be subject to the following charges, regardless of suite resale:

Please note in instances where the deposit amount paid is higher than the 15%, 50% or 75% of the cruise fare, then the highest of the amounts is payable as the cancellation penalty.

*An additional Cruise Republic cancellation fee of $200 will apply.

Single and Third Guests
A limited number of suites are available for purchase on a single- or third-guest occupancy basis. The supplement for single occupancy ranges from 25%–100% above the double occupancy fare, depending upon the sailing and suite selected. Suites for single and third guests are capacity controlled. Fares and supplements are subject to change without notice based on availability.


Taxes & Government / Quasi-Government Fees
Taxes and Government / Quasi-Government Fees are included in the cruise fare. These charges include taxes and fees imposed on Silversea by governmental or quasi-governmental agencies and include, but are not limited to, such items as arrival or departure taxes and per person port usage or impact fees. Savings and incentive programmes do not apply to Taxes and Government/Quasi-Government Fees or to the portion of the guest's cruise fare, which is non-commissionable pursuant to the Silversea’s travel professional commission policy.

Please note that guests joining or leaving the cruise in any port other than the scheduled embarkation and/or disembarkation port, may be subject to additional governmental taxes, fees or fines.

Travel Documents
All travel documents (air and cruise tickets, passport, medical card, inoculation verification) are the guest’s responsibility. It is also the guest’s responsibility to obtain any necessary visas and public health documents for all applicable ports and to comply with all customs requirements. Without the required documents, a guest may be denied boarding and accommodation by Silversea, or the guest may be disembarked during the voyage and Silversea will not make a refund or be otherwise liable to any guest for such denial of boarding or disembarkation. In the event that Silversea, as a courtesy, provides information or advice as to necessary travel documents, visas and medical inoculations, guests are still obligated to verify such information with the appropriate government authorities and Silversea does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of such information. Some countries require passports to be valid six months beyond intended stay. Please check with the appropriate consulate for specific requirements.

Cruise Credits
Silversea Cruise Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may only be used in conjunction with the purchase of a Silversea cruise prior to the expiration date. These credits are valid toward the Silver Savings Fares and are applied to bookings after the Air Credit, Venetian Society Savings, Extended Voyage Savings and Onboard Savings. Certain restrictions may apply.

Silver Shore Programmes

Silver Shore Excursions
Shore excursions for most ports-of-call may be reserved 120 days in advance of voyage departure by visiting Silversea.com/MyVoyage, and will also be offered for purchase on board, subject to availability.
All shore excursions and Land Adventures are operated by independent contractors and Silversea acts only as an agent in booking them and shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or death arising out of any service provided. Some optional pre- and/or post-cruise Land Adventures, shore excursions or special events are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of participants is not met. Silversea reserves the right to cancel without notice at any time.

Silversea Expeditions guests enjoy complimentary excursions aboard Silver Explorer.

Silver Shore Concierge
When utilising this optional service, a charge of AU$150 per port will apply. This non-refundable charge will be credited to the cost of your final arrangements.


Silver Shore Excursion Cancellations
Excursions must be cancelled by the specified deadline in order to avoid cancellation penalties. Most tours may be cancelled on board by the date and time specified on the Silver Shore Booking Form, which is available in your suite upon boarding. Other tours have specific deadline dates shown in the detailed tour description. Cancellations made after the specified deadline are subject to penalties of up to 100%, which will be charged to your shipboard account. Within 7 days of sailing, tours may no longer be reserved or cancelled via My Voyage. Please see the Shore Concierge on board to book tours or make any changes.

Minors & Childcare
Silversea cruise guidelines state that minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied, in the same or connecting suite, by a parent or other responsible adult over the age of 21. If the adult accompanying the minor is not their parent, a parental consent guardianship form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian and received by Silversea prior to sailing. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Silversea reserves the right to refuse to serve anyone who in its sole judgement may be under the influence of alcohol, or for any reason necessary in its judgement to preserve the health and safety of guests and employees.

Silver Explorer cannot accommodate infants under the age of 1 year. Silversea Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper and Silver Spirit cannot accommodate infants under the age of 6 months. Guests must notify Silversea of any children between the ages of 6 months and 1 year who will be sailing on board the ship. A signed and notarised waiver will be required for all children between these ages. Although Silversea accepts guests over the age of 6 months (over the age of 1 year for Silversea Expeditions), there are no special programmes for children on board, and Silversea does not provide for the care, entertainment or supervision of children. Silversea reserves the right to limit the number of children less than 3 years of age.

In addition, the Zodiacs used for Silversea Expeditions are unable to accommodate children younger than 6 years of age. As Silversea does not provide babysitting services, an adult family member will be required to remain on board Silver Explorer with their child(ren) during Zodiac excursions.

Luggage
You may bring aboard the ship a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects without charge.

Health & Medical Requirements
All guests are required to report in writing to Silversea at the time their reservation is made:

1. Any physical or mental condition that may require medical or professional treatment or attention during the voyage
2. Any condition that may render the guest unfit for travel, or that may require special care or assistance
3. Any condition that may pose a risk or danger to the guest or anyone else onboard the ship
4. Any condition that may require oxygen for medical reasons
5. Any intention or need to use a wheelchair aboard ship.

By booking passage and by boarding the ship, the guest represents and warrants that he/she is physically and otherwise fit to travel, and that the guest will comply at all times with applicable rules and regulations of the ship and orders and instructions of the ship’s officers and medical staff. Silversea reserves the right without liability to require a guest to disembark and/or to refuse to board and transport a guest who, in the judgement of Silversea or the ship’s Master or Medical Officer, is unfit to travel or may require care beyond that which Silversea is reasonably able to provide. Silversea strongly recommends wheelchair guests travel with someone who is able to assist them both ashore and at sea as Silversea may be unable to offer special assistance. Please note that wheel-on and/or wheel-off access may not be available at some ports-of-call. Wheelchair guests must bring their own collapsible wheelchair.

Pregnancy
At the time of booking, expectant mothers are required to supply a medical certificate establishing their fitness for travel at the time they are due to travel. Silversea is unable to accommodate women who have entered their twenty-fourth week of pregnancy and will not be responsible or liable for any complication relative to any pregnancy during the entire duration of the cruise.

Savings & Incentive Programmes -

Venetian Society Savings

On select voyages, past guests of Silversea save an additional percentage as indicated by voyage. This savings is in addition to the Silver Savings in effect at the time of booking. Savings are capacity controlled, subject to availability and may change at any time without notice.

Extended Voyage Savings

Combine two or more consecutive voyages and save up to an additional 10% on each voyage selected. Savings may vary by voyage and are subject to change or withdrawal without notice. Savings are applicable to full published voyages, but not to segments of the same voyage. Extended Voyage Savings are in addition to special savings and Venetian Society Savings, if applicable, but may not be combined with other promotional offers. Contact your travel professional or Silversea for applicable savings. Other restrictions apply.

Onboard Savings

Guests on board save up to 5% off future voyages when booked whilst sailing.

Terms & Conditions: Extended Voyage Savings, Venetian Society Savings and Onboard Savings are applied sequentially to Silver Savings fares after all Air Credits have been deducted. Savings programmes do not apply to Silver Sky® Air Programme fares, Hotel Programmes or Land Adventures.

Travel Insurance
Silversea strongly recommends that all guests purchase comprehensive Travel
Insurance for the full purchase price of the cruise as well as air and/or land program costs. Your travel professional can provide more information about Silversea's Rest Assured Programme, an optional travel protection plan designed especially for our guests.
