For kids aged 2-11, the Camp Ocean will keep your little ones busy and active with all the fun themed activities and entertainment. All program are supervised by well-trained staff. 

The littlest little ones — ages 2 to 5 —join the Penguin colony and engage in activities like Musical Icebergs and Ocean Bingo… even learning a thing or two about buoyancy!

The little-biggers, 6 to 8, are the way-cool Stingrays, who might be found enjoying Pirate Game Night, making sea salt art or even designing their own aquarium.

The big fish are the Sharks — ages 9 to 11 — who really sink their teeth into playing Marine Life Trivia, creating a giant ocean mural, and scoring big with games and sports competitions.

To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology.

At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.

Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a CR reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name for up to 5 days as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.

Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.

Amendments

Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus any applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy. All amendments are required to be sent in writing by the lead passenger in the booking. Fare amendments are subject to change until confirmed and paid. Any Name Changes must be completed a minimum 72 hours prior to departure

Transfer to a new cruise/fare

From time to time cruise lines may advertise lower promotional cruise fares; these fares are not always available to existing bookings, however Cruise Republic will endeavour to accommodate any request to change to the lower fare. Please note this request is at the discretion of the cruise lines so is not always possible. New promotional fares may affect your current booking, resulting in reduced on-board credit.

If we are able to transfer you at the lower promotional fare a fee of $100 will be applied to your booking. Once final payment has been made for your cruise we are unable to lower the fare.

If you choose to transfer your cruise deposit to an alternative cruise departure this will also incur a fee of $100.

Cancellations

Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy. All cancellations are required to be sent in writing by the lead passenger in the booking. Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.

Payments

Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments. Payments made by domestic bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.

Flights and Hotels

Flights and Accommodation cancellation fees and amendment fees will apply as set out by the airlines and hotels. An additional $50 per person cancellation fee applies to all hotel cancellations and flight cancellations. All fly/cruise packages are based on the best available flight and hotel at time of pricing and while we may not be able to get the exact airline or hotel we will book a similar acceptable option. Flight packages will all include a free checked baggage allowance and meals.

Onboard Credits

On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.

'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings

From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.

Complimentary Upgrades

Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail. Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.

Future Cruise Credits

While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.

Passport & Visa Requirements.

or all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity on your return date back home.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.

Privacy of your information is an absolute priority to us. When you book we request whether you are interested in receiving further offers from us. If you decline, we will not email you with such offers. We also always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe and opt out of receiving these emails. We treat your details as confidential and we NEVER disclose your information to third parties other than the supplier who is fulfilling your cruise holiday.

All amendments and any cancellations must be approved through the first person named on the booking. In the case of any in-cabin disputes our contract is with the first person named on the booking and we will only follow instructions given by them.

Introduction

These are the terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”)under which you book your cruise holiday and travel on any Carnival Cruise Lines’ product we sell you. You are bound by these terms and conditions, so it is important you read them carefully. Carnival/Carnival Cruise Lines/We/Our/Us means Carnival plc. You are entering into this contract with Carnival plc trading as Carnival Australia , ARBN 107 998 443.

In these Terms and Conditions, words which appear in italics have the meaning set out in the Dictionary in clause 32.

Certain laws such as the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and any applicable state based consumer legislation (from here known as ‘consumer laws’), are in place for your protection. They are designed to ensure our services are provided with due care and skill and are reasonably fit for a cruise holiday. Many consumer laws cannot legally be excluded or limited. These ‘Terms & Conditions’ do not alter any protection given by such consumer laws.

Bookings

Each cabin booked represents an individual booking and can accommodate between one (1) and four (4) passengers, depending on the cabin configuration. Each booking will be allocated a unique booking number.

A booking, and payments on a booking, can only be made by a person aged 18 years or over.

Your agreement with us

When you first make a payment towards your cruise holiday, you represent that you have the authority from all passengers on your booking(s), to accept our ‘Terms & Conditions’ on their behalf. Parents/Legal guardians accept the ‘Terms & Conditions’ on behalf of their children, including those who travel in a separate cabin. Once we have received a payment on a booking, an agreement on these ‘Terms & Conditions’ becomes effective between all passengers on the booking(s) and Carnival plc.

Payments

Once you have decided on your holiday, we will need a deposit to secure your booking. If full deposit is not received within the designated period of time, your booking will be automatically cancelled. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking, as controlled by Carnival Cruises.

All guests within a booking must travel on the same fare type. From time to time, we may release promotional fares that have different payment conditions. Please ensure you check the payment conditions at time of booking.

It is essential that you make final payment by the due date and in accordance with the type of fare you have purchased. If payment is not received by the due date, bookings will be automatically cancelled and our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy will apply.

If you are making a booking within the ‘Final Payment Due’ period of your selected cruise, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cruise Tickets

After you have paid your deposit, we will give you instructions to complete an online check-in via the Carnival Australia cruises website. You will be required to enter in your passport information and nominate an emergency contact person.
Upon completion Carnival Cruises will will release the tickets to us and we will post these out to you in due course (within 40 days of your departure).

If this is not completed there will be delays with your documentation.

Please ensure you let us know if your postal address has changed.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase appropriate international travel insurance as soon as you pay your deposit. If you do not purchase travel insurance, you will not be able to recover cancellation charges, medical costs, repatriation and other expenses that may arise if things do not go according to plan.

Cancellation & Refunds

Reservations will be held until 30 minutes prior to departure. No refunds will be made in the event of "no shows", unused tickets, lost tickets, interruptions, partially used tickets, or cancellations received less than 14 days prior to departure or after the start of the cruise.

Please note in instances where the deposit amount paid is higher than the 25%, 50% or 75% of the cruise fare, then the highest of the amounts is payable as the cancellation penalty.

^ Any additional fees charged by airlines due to cancellation, will also be passed onto the passengers.

* An additional Online Republic cancellation fee of $200.00 per cabin will apply.

Kids Sail Free Promotion

Cancellation terms for the ‘Kids Sail Free’ differ from terms that apply to our standard fares and are more restrictive.  Full payment must be made at the time of booking and fares are non-refundable. A cancellation fee of 85% plus $200 will apply from date of payment and are non refundable once within 15 days of sailing.

Pack N Go/Last Minute Deals

Full payment is required at the time of booking

Cabins are on a Guarantee Status therefore no cabin number will be assigned at the time of booking. A cabin number will only be allocated closer to departure by Carnival Cruises. Please refer to “Guarantee (GTY) Bookings.

Fares are not combinable with any onboard credit promotion.

Fare is fully non refundable and non transferable.

Changing your cruise holiday

We understand that on occasion you may need to change to a different cruise. When this happens, the following policy will apply:

Once you have used your ‘one free change’, Cancellation Charges, as per our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy (see above), will apply for any other amendments.

Should you decide change your sailing date, any onboard credit benefits may drop. The cruise line may also require additional deposit payable immediately.

Your fare

Your fare is determined by the fare type, the number of guests in your stateroom, its location on the ship, the amenities offered, port charges, government taxes and any applicable airfares including taxes and fees. Child fares, where available, only apply when children are the third (3rd) or fourth (4th) guest in a stateroom and are aged under 13 years. Once booked, your fare is only subject to any increased taxes. You will be notified of this before it is added to your fare or to your on board account.

Fare changes

Sometimes we will release promotional fares. These can be offered and withdrawn at any time. If after booking you decide to change to one of these promotional fares, you will need to cancel your existing booking and our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy will apply.

Stateroom Changes

When making a booking with a specific stateroom number, please advise us or your Travel Agent if you do not want your stateroom changed. This means that you would not be offered a complimentary upgrade to a higher priced category, if one was to become available. Please note that Carnival reserves the right to move you from a previously assigned stateroom for operational reasons, which include and are not limited to the following: when the number of people booked in the stateroom is less than the number of beds in the stateroom, or to accommodate a guest with a special medical condition;. disabled guests have priority over staterooms designed for the physically disabled.

In addition, when a booking is made and a specific stateroom number is not selected (known as a ‘Guarantee’), the stateroom will be allocated at our discretion in the category booked, or a higher priced category, at a later date, up to departure.

Fuel supplement

We may elect to impose a fuel supplement at any time, in which case any additional fees will apply to new bookings only. The total price quoted to you at the time of booking will be inclusive of any applicable fuel supplement.

Booking changes

Once you have made your booking, please check your invoice, ‘Cruise Personaliser’, or with your Travel Agent to ensure the details are correct.

*One original guest from the booking must always remain in the stateroom. If all original guests cancel / are replaced, the booking will be subject to applicable cancellation charges. If a cancelling guest was the only person that qualified the booking for a promotional fare (eg. past guest fare), additional and remaining guests will no longer be entitled to this promotional fare. The booking will revert to a different fare and the remaining guests will need to pay the difference in cost, if any. Changes can only be made up to 72 hours before departure.

Should you decide to upgrade/downgrade your cabin category or sailing date, any onboard credit benefits may drop.

Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any other changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus any applicable fees set you by the cruise line.

Pregnancy

We can't accept any guests onboard who have entered their 24th week or later of pregnancy by the end of their cruise. Guests who are pregnant during their cruise need to supply a Doctors 'Fit to travel' note, including your estimated due date, prior to embarkation. If this applies to you please call us.

Minimum age to travel

To ensure there is suitable supervision, there needs to be at least one passenger 18 years or older in each cabin. However, to accommodate families cruising together, children may occupy a separate cabin to their parent/legal guardian, providing one child is 16 years or over.

For cruises departing from an Australian port between 1 November and 7 January, any passenger under 19 years of age on the day they board the cruise, must travel in the same stateroom as a responsible adult 19 years or older. In addition, from 8 January to 31 January, there is a limit on the number of passengers under 19 years of age who can travel unaccompanied. Once the limit is reached, a responsible adult 19 years or older must travel in the same stateroom. We can advise you at the time of booking whether the limit applies to your booking. The responsible adult is accountable for passengers under 19 years of age in their stateroom for the duration of the cruise, and the ‘Rights of the Captain’ will be applied to anyone who displays disruptive behaviour.

We welcome children 12 months and over to cruise with us. We are unable to accommodate infants under 12 months due to limited neo-natal facilities on board and at ports of call.

Children & Teenagers

Parents/Legal guardians are responsible for children and teenagers at all times. If a child or teenager displays dangerous or disruptive behaviour, the ‘Rights of the Captain’ will be applied to both parent/legal guardian and child/teenager. Children’s access to pools and spas may be restricted and adult supervision is required at all times. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in child free areas such as Serenity.

Children's Centres

Centre Attendance Requirements:

Carnival Cruise Lines Youth programs provide highly engaging age-appropriate activities for children and teenagers between the ages of 2 and 17 years old. Carnival’s policy is to group children together according to their age. Youth Program age policies are in place so that we can provide participants with age appropriate activities and so they can mingle with children their own age. The age of the child on the day they board the cruise is the age we use for the entire holiday.

Baby Sitting:

For the convenience of our guests, Camp Carnival offers babysitting services for children aged between 12 months to 11 years each evening, from 10:00pm to 3:00am at an additional fee.

Requirements to Travel

To ensure that your holiday goes smoothly, prior to your cruise, you must obtain the appropriate documentation to visit each of the destinations on your selected itinerary. Passports, visas, vaccinations and other travel documentation are your responsibility. Without the necessary passport, visas and/or vaccinations, local authorities may deny you boarding, prevent you from going ashore, issue a fine or deny the ship entry into the port. It is also your responsibility to ensure you have all the necessary documentation which permits you to travel. If you do not have all the necessary documentation, you may be denied boarding and no refunds will be given. International Cruises:

For international cruises (cruises that visit a foreign port), passports are required for all guests and must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months beyond the date of the cruise return.

Domestic Cruises:

For domestic cruises (cruises that do not visit a foreign port), a valid passport or government issued photo identification is required (Queensland Proof of Age cards will only be accepted if issued after October 2011). For Australian domestic cruises, a current Medicare card can be used for guests under 18 years of age. For New Zealand domestic cruises, an original or certified copy of the child’s birth certificate or a school pass with photo will be accepted for guests under 18 years of age.

Alcohol & Gambling

We are committed to the responsible service of alcohol. There may be times when we consider it appropriate to refuse the service of alcohol to a passenger for any reason. Passengers must be 18 years or over to purchase or consume alcohol, or gamble on board. Government issued photo identification may be requested (Queensland Proof of Age cards will not be accepted). Any alcohol purchased ashore will be collected at the gangway for safe keeping and will be returned to you on the last day of your cruise.

Your Health

We care about the health and safety of our guests. If you or anyone from your travelling party has a physical disability or medical condition which may require special assistance during the voyage, please advise us at the time of booking; failure to do so may release Carnival from any liability for loss, damages or other compensation arising from or related in any way to such disability or condition . To better assist you, if you have a medical condition that requires medical attention, medication, or special treatment, we may ask you to complete a health questionnaire.

Passengers that need assistance should always be accompanied by a carer to help with day to day activities as our crew and medical staff are unable to act as personal carers.

On board Medical Centre

Treatment:

Each ship has a Medical Centre that is staffed by registered doctors and nurses, who are available during scheduled clinic times to provide medical care for everyone on board. They are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for medical emergencies. Our Medical Centre is only for medical needs arising on board and cannot cater for treatments that you know you will require while on holiday. While at sea or in port the availability of medical care may be limited or delayed; all or part of the cruise may be in areas where medical care and evacuation may not be available.

Medical Liability Limitation:

We are not a healthcare provider and may not be held liable for the sickness, injury or death of any guest arising from any advice, treatment, care, services or any omission by medical staff. These medical providers exercise their own medical judgement and expertise.

On board Medical Charges

All cruises on our ships are outside the scope of Australian Medicare, New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and private health insurance. Consultations, treatments and medication are charged at private rates and must be paid by you and claimed through your travel insurance.

Ship & Itinerary Changes

We will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes according to plan; however, sometimes changes can happen that may affect your holiday experience. This could include weather, mechanical difficulties, civil unrest or any other unforeseen circumstances.

In addition, we may charter all or part of the ship, or remove the ship from service where this becomes necessary. We may change the itinerary, ship or cancel the cruise due to operational or commercial requirements.

We will notify you of these changes as soon as we can. Where we cancel a cruise or make a significant change to the ports in your itinerary prior to departure, you will have the choice of:

  1. the new itinerary;

  2. transferring all monies paid to an alternative cruise of comparable standard, if available; or

  3. cancelling the cruise for a full refund of your fare paid.

Once your cruise has commenced, if we are required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life or health, we are not required to provide any compensation unless consumer laws provide otherwise. With this in mind, please do not make any important arrangements or meetings based on the proposed itinerary.

Rights of the Captain

If a passenger seriously affects the safety, well-being or enjoyment of themselves or any other person on board, the Captain has the right to confine, sedate or disembark the passenger. In such cases, we are not responsible for any expenses including your return home. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds. While the Captain will always act reasonably in these circumstances, you accept that the safety, well-being and enjoyment of everyone on board, comes first.

Leaving the cruise early

You agree to return to the ship not less than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Shipboard and shore side clocks may have different times, but it is Guest’s responsibility to return to the vessel so as not to miss ship’s departure. If you are required, or choose, to leave the cruise for any reason (unless caused by our proven negligence or failure to provide services with due care and skill and that are reasonably fit for purpose), we are not responsible for the cost associated with transporting you to rejoin the ship or return home; Guest is responsible for the cost of the transfer, including but not limited to, governmental fees, visa fees, subsistence, lodging, air fare, launch fare, car hire or agency fees. This also applies if you do not return to the ship in time for sailing after a port visit. If we assist with any costs, you will need to repay us on your return. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds.

Legal Matters

In the unlikely event you have reason to take legal action, you agree to use all reasonable efforts to bring the issue to our attention as soon as possible.

This contract is governed by the laws in force in New South Wales. You agree that any action you bring against us will be brought in New South Wales.

If you have a claim against us, you agree only to bring action against us and not any of our related bodies corporate as defined in the Corporations Act 2001(Cth).

Where consumer laws and other laws permit us to exclude our liability, we will not be liable for:

  • loss of, or damage to, any luggage or other belongings

  • sickness, injury or death, unless caused by our proven negligence or failure to provide services with due care and skill and that are reasonably fit for purpose.

In addition, our liability will be reduced in proportion to any negligence or fault on your part.

Privacy

Personal Information:

During the booking process and your cruise holiday, we ask for information about you. We collect this information so you receive the highest level of personalised service. After your holiday, your information is stored so we can inform you of any special offers, or obtain feedback. If you do not wish to receive such offers or be contacted to provide feedback, please let us know. We may also be required to pass your information on to various third parties such as immigration officials, service providers and insurers. If you consult the medical staff on board, any information shared with them may be made available to relevant people within our own organisation and also externally to medical specialists, insurance providers and our professional advisors.

Security Cameras:

For the safety and security of our guests and crew, we use Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to monitor and record public areas on board all our ships. If necessary, this footage may be viewed by our own personnel, advisors and external parties with a relevant interest. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the viewing or other use of this footage.

Cancellation & Refunds

Reservations will be held until 30 minutes prior to departure. No refunds will be made in the event of "no shows", unused tickets, lost tickets, interruptions, partially used tickets, or cancellations received less than 14 days prior to departure or after the start of the cruise.
