  • Located at the stern of the ship on E Deck, the Alexandria Restaurant is one of two main dining rooms on Aurora. As the name of the restaurant suggests, its sumptuous décor draws inspiration from the culture, colours and shapes of ancient Egypt. Club Dining here is all about enjoying the convivial atmosphere and the company of your table companions. Entering through the glass etched double doors you are greeted by an elegant and welcoming dining room. Large windows frame views of the ship’s wake and a glistening ocean. Carefully crafted dishes are brought to your table. And world-class cuisine rounds off a dining experience to be savoured in every sense.

Medina Restaurant
  • Positioned midships on E Deck, Medina Restaurant is one of two great formal dining rooms on Aurora. Reflecting P&O Cruises traditional connections with North Africa and the Middle East, Medina was designed in a Moorish style, utilising brilliant colours and shapes from ages gone by to create a sophisticated look for today’s modern passenger. Make your grand entrance for dinner on the featured double stairway, with its stunning backdrop of vibrantly coloured stained glass, as it sweeps down into the restaurant from the Promenade Deck. Seating over 500 people, you can find a romantic table for two or a party table for eight. With large windows on either side you’ll enjoy the magnificent views both day and night, as you dine on the Medina’s superb cuisine.

The Orangery
  • The Orangery, an informal self-service restaurant, is located in the aft section of Lido Deck with easy access to the surrounding decks and facilities. This large eatery opens early and provides full English breakfasts, extensive buffets for lunch and afternoon tea. With walls covered in vibrant modern murals, this colourful, light and airy room has a casual atmosphere, and at 80 feet above the water line, The Orangery affords spectacular sea views. In the evening, softer lighting and the opening of a dance floor transform The Orangery into the perfect venue for a themed dinner.

  • Aurora houses a substantial art collection. Showcasing numerous British artists, her artworks adorn cabins, decks and public spaces. But if you would like to purchase a piece of your own, her art gallery is the place to come. Located on Promenade Deck, you can peruse numerous paintings, prints and memorabilia of varying styles. Later, head along to the Art Auction to bid for your favourite piece. Or to simply enjoy the excitement of the gavel coming down on piece after piece. Their art auctioneers will be on hand throughout your cruise to host the art auctions and offer you their expertise.

Crystal pool & bar
  • Midships on Lido Deck is the Aurora’s largest swimming pool, the Crystal Pool. One of its most striking features is the sliding, clear glass Skydome, which allows swimming in any weather. It keeps out the chilly breezes and lets in the warm sunshine. The Crystal Pool is over 32 feet long and 19 feet wide and has two adjoining jacuzzis, as well as a conveniently located bar. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the deck of the pool on two levels, as the Sun Deck above also overlooks the pool.

Riviera pool and bar
  • Located on A Deck and cleverly sheltered from the wind by the Lido and Sun Decks, you’ll find the Riviera Pool. At 29 feet long and 19 feet wide, it’s the second largest pool on Aurora. The overflow from the pool forms a gentle waterfall, which runs down to the next level, where a tempting jacuzzi waits. The full-service Riviera Bar is conveniently close and overlooks the entire pool area, and sun worshippers will enjoy the three terraces full of deck chairs that surround the pool.

Curzon Theatre
  • The 660-seat Curzon Theatre is located in the forward part of the ship on Promenade Deck. A traditional theatre colour scheme of rich red, blue, gold and maroon, combined with Tudor rose motifs and heraldic designs, was used to bring something of the atmosphere of Shakespeare’s England onto a world-class superliner. Yet the theatre has all the very latest technical advantages. With its high-tech lighting and sound equipment and its revolving, 74-feet-wide stage, every performance has a West End glitter and the performers love this theatre as much as you will. And with a different musical spectacular every night, you are sure to be there time and time again.

  • The Playhouse, is located midships on D Deck, next to the Photo Gallery. This fantastic cinema screens feature films and recent releases throughout the day and into the evening. You can watch films that are so new, that they haven’t yet reached your local cinema at home. There are 213 spacious and comfortable chairs and good visibility for everyone. In addition to films, The Playhouse is also the venue for classical recitals, lectures, port enhancement talks, and much more.

  • Midships and just forward of the Riviera Pool on A Deck is Weights & Measures, Aurora’s Gym. This hi-tech facility offers a superb range of the latest cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, as well as a full exercise studio. A trained and sympathetic instructor will help you find the correct fitness programme for your age and capability and will check that you are exercising safely and effectively. After a rigorous session in the gym, you can take the spiral staircase up to the Oasis Spa on the Lido Deck above and enjoy a relaxing massage or sauna.

  • Midships on Promenade Deck lies Masquerade – the glitziest nightclub afloat. Very chic and ultra-modern, this is the place for late night action. It’s very current, very exciting and simply very brilliant.

  • Located at the stern, high on Lido Deck, the Pennant Bar adds a taste of the tropics to Aurora. This outdoor island bar over looks the ships fabulous tiered decks and is the centre of many lunchtime activities, including themed lunches like the much loved and anticipated Neptune’s Buffet. In the evening it is the perfect location to watch the ship’s wake as it stretches out and winds its way into the sunset.

The Crow’s Nest
  • High up on Sun Deck at the forward end of the ship you will find The Crow’s Nest. At 105 feet above the waterline, this stylish cocktail bar is higher than the bridge and affords the ship’s most amazing views. By day you can watch the glistening sea as the world floats by in this comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. But as evening draws in The Crow’s Nest comes into its own; with a light tickling of the ivories to set the mood, there’s no better vantage point from which to enjoy a dramatic sunset at sea.

  • Just forward of the Terrace Pool on the port side of D Deck, is Toybox. Your 2-4 year olds can get involved in imaginative play, singing, colouring and drawing and loads of fun and games. Toybox is equipped with large cushioned balls and cubes as well as toys, books, computers and games. There are large padded areas for comfort and fun and even a place to snuggle down with a favourite movie. Toybox will keep your little ones amused for hours.

To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology.

At the time of reservation you must provide us with your full name as it appears on your passport as well as your date of birth. By making a booking with us through any of the three methods you will be deemed to have agreed to our information, Terms and Conditions.

Once you have submitted your enquiry through our website, you will receive a “CR” reference number and a bounce back email to the email address provided. This reference number is confirmation we have received your enquiry and we will come back to you shortly with the details of your booking – please be aware, this is not a confirmation and is only a summary of your booking request. We will hold the cabin in your name “for up to 5 days” as controlled by the cruise line themselves. On some cruises, the payment may be required on the day of booking or within 1-5 days of making the booking as controlled by the cruise line.

Once we have held a cabin, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the price and details. A booking is confirmed when you have been received an email confirmation notice and should you wish to proceed, we will provide you with our payment options to make your deposit payment (or full payment if the cruise is within 90 days). Your payment then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions. When your booking has been confirmed with a deposit payment we will send you your cruise booking number with the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure

In booking on/via this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Cruise Ship company/operator.

Amendments

Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus and applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.

Cancellations

Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings cancelled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200 per cabin plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. There are no cool down periods. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.

Due to the issuing of refunds via Cheque by the cruiselines, refunds can take 4-6 weeks to reach us should you be entitled to any refund.

Payments

Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 1.5% for Visa and Mastercard payments. We also accept AMEX which incur a 3.2% credit card fee. Debit cards are processed like a credit card therefore credit card fees will apply per transaction. Payments made by bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system. Please be aware payments made via bank deposit or BPAY within 24 hours of your booking expiring will require a legitimate receipt/screen shot of payment emailed through.

Onboard Credits

On selected departures we will offer you onboard credits & these may not be combinable with all cabin categories and promotions. We will send you through a confirmation which will confirm if the onboard credit is available against your booking. Making changes to your reservation could result in any onboard credits being removed. Once you have embarked the ship, the onboard credit will be applied to your onboard account to use towards any onboard purchases. Any unused portion of the Onboard Credit will expire at midnight on the last night of your cruise and is not redeemable for cash at any time.

'Guarantee' (GTY) Bookings

From time to time, we may offer you the option of making what we call a 'Guarantee (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Inside, Outside, Balcony) on your chosen ship and cruise. However, the exact grade, number and location of the stateroom on the ship will be allocated at the cruise lines discretion and at any time until checking in at the Port. Once your GTY stateroom has been allocated to you, we are unable to accept any changes requested by you. The benefits of a GTY stateroom are that after your booking has been confirmed, the cruise line may (at their discretion) upgrade your stateroom to a higher classed category to that originally booked at no extra charge to you. In any event, you are 'guaranteed' the minimum category you decide to book at the time of the cruise including obstructed view cabins.
If travelling with Family and Friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you not to book on a Guarantee.
We cannot guarantee your cabins will be assigned near one another, on the same deck, same side or forward/aft on the ship nor accept any requests.

Complimentary Upgrades

Depending on any last minute availability the cruise lines will automatically upgrade cabins to higher categories. The upgrades can place you towards the front of the ship, midships or at the back of the ship and not necessarily on a higher deck level (i.e.: Insides Deck 10 may be upgraded to Ocean view Deck 5). As the cruise lines cannot upgrade every booking, you should book a category in which you are happy to sail. Once the upgrade has been assigned, should you dislike the cabin location we are unable to accept any changes or requests and cannot be reversed.
If travelling with family and friends where you require cabins to be near one another we strongly recommend for you to decline the upgrades. The cruise line do not guarantee all of the cabins will be upgraded, or that they will be upgraded near one another.

Future Cruise Credits

While we are happy to apply your Future Cruise Credits from the cruiselines to your booking with us, this may affect your online discounted pricing. We will still do our best to provide competitive pricing based on the discount we can offer on the new cruise fare once the future cruise credits have been applied to your booking. Please note if Future Cruise Credits are applied after your deposit has been paid may affect your final balance.

Passport & Visa Requirements.

For all international cruises all passengers will require to be in possession of a valid passport. The passport must have 6 months validity from the cruise return date.
Visa's may also be required and at the sole responsibility of the passenger. Please check with the relevant embassies or a Visa Services company for assistance.
Cruise Republic will not take any responsibility for passport or visa requirements.

Privacy

Privacy of your information is an absolute priority to us. When you book we request whether you are interested in receiving further offers from us. If you decline, we will not email you with such offers. We also always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe and opt out of receiving these emails. We treat your details as confidential and we NEVER disclose your information to third parties other than the supplier who is fulfilling your cruise holiday.

All amendments and any cancellations must be approved through the first person named on the booking. In the case of any in-cabin disputes our contract is with the first person named on the booking and we will only follow instructions given by them.

Introduction

These are the Terms & Conditions under which you book and travel on any P&O Cruises product we sell you. You are bound by these ‘Terms & Conditions’, so it is important that you read them carefully.

We/Our/Us means Carnival plc, trading as P&O Cruises and, where the context permits, includes the Carrier. In selling you cruises and issuing you tickets, Carnival plc acts as a sales agent for P&O Cruises.

You are entering into this contract with Carnival plc trading as P&O Cruises, ARBN 107 998 443.

Certain laws such as the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) and any applicable state based consumer legislation (from here known as ‘consumer laws’), are in place for your protection. They are designed to ensure the services provided by us (and, where applicable, the Carrier), are provided with due care and skill and are reasonably fit for a holiday. These Terms & Conditions do not alter any protection given to you by consumer laws.

Your agreement with us

When you first make a payment towards your cruise holiday, you accept P&O's Terms & Conditions on behalf of all passengers in the booking. Once we have received a payment, an agreement on these Terms & Conditions becomes effective between all passengers in the booking, Carnival plc and, where applicable, the Carrier.

Payments

Once you have decided on your holiday, we will need a deposit to secure your booking. It is essential that deposits are received by us within 3 days from when the booking is made. If payment is not received within this time, our system will automatically cancel your booking.

On some cruises, the deposit may be required on the day of booking or within 1-7 days of making the booking, as controlled by P&O Cruises.

Please note, all passengers within a booking must travel on the same fare type. It is essential that you make final payment by the due date and in accordance with the fare type you have purchased. If payment is not received, bookings will be automatically cancelled and our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy will apply.

If you are making a booking within the ‘final payment due’ period of your selected cruise, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Last Minute Deals

Full payment is required at the time of booking

Cabins are on a Guarantee Status therefore no cabin number will be assigned at the time of booking. A cabin number will only be allocated closer to departure by P&O Cruises. Please refer to “Guarantee (GTY) Bookings.

Fares are not combinable with any onboard credit promotion.

Fare is fully non refundable and non transferable.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase appropriate international travel insurance at the time you pay your deposit. If you do not purchase travel insurance, you will not be able to claim for any cancellation charges, medical costs, repatriation and other expenses that may arise if things do not go according to plan.

Cancellation & Refunds

Although we would love to see you on board, we understand that plans can change. Should you need to cancel your holiday, we ask that you notify your Agent or our Customer Service Team at your earliest convenience. The refund or cancellation charge that will be payable depends on the amount of notice you give us and the fare type you have purchased, as follows:

Please note in instances where the deposit amount paid is higher than the 25%, 50% or 75% of the cruise fare, then the highest of the amounts is payable as the cancellation penalty.

Please note, promotional fares may have different cancellation and refund conditions. Please ensure you check these at time of booking and before making payment.

Should you incur cancellation charges, you may be able to claim these back from your travel insurance company depending on your circumstances and your level of cover. Please check with your insurer for full details. You should always ensure that you have adequate travel insurance when you have made your booking so that you are covered for such eventualities.

Changing your cruise holiday

Please note, if you choose to change your booking to a different cruise, or to a different sector of a World Voyage, it will be considered as a cancellation of your original booking. In this instance, our cancellation charges, as per our Cancellation & Refunds policy, will apply.

Your fare

Your fare is determined by the fare type, the number of passengers in your stateroom, its location on the ship, the amenities offered, port charges, government taxes, any airfares including taxes and fees, any transfers and any hotel accommodation. Child fares, where applicable, only apply when children occupy the 3rd or 4th bed in a stateroom.

Fare changes

Once booked, your fare is only subject to any increased taxes, which will be added to the fare or to your on board account. Sometimes we will release promotional fares. These can be offered and withdrawn at any time.

If you decide to change to one of these promotional fares, you will need to cancel your existing booking and our 'Cancellation & Refunds' policy will apply.

Stateroom changes

We reserve the right to change the stateroom allocated to you at any time at our discretion. In addition, when a booking is made as a ‘Guarantee’ it will be berthed at our discretion and allocated a stateroom in the grade booked or higher at a later date.

Fuel supplement

We may elect to impose a fuel supplement at any time, which will apply to new bookings only. The total price quoted to you at the time of booking will be inclusive of any applicable fuel supplement.

Booking changes & ticket requests

Once you have made your booking, please check your invoice, ‘Cruise Personaliser’, or with your Travel Agent to ensure the details are correct. Should you need to make changes to your booking or request tickets, the following administration charges will apply:

* One original passenger from the booking must always remain in the stateroom. If the cancelling passenger was the only person that qualified the booking for a promotional fare (e.g.: past passenger fare), additional and remaining passengers will no longer be entitled to this promotional fare. The booking will revert to a different fare and the remaining passengers will need to pay the difference in cost, if any.


Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any other changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $50 plus any applicable fees set you by the cruise line.

Pregnancy

Passengers who will be pregnant during their cruise are required to supply a physicians ‘fit to travel’ note, including your estimated due date, prior to embarkation. We are unable to accept any passengers who will have entered their 24th week or later of pregnancy, by the end of the cruise.

Minimum age to travel

To ensure suitable supervision there needs to be at least one passenger 18 years or older in each stateroom. Passengers under the age of 18 years must travel with a parent or guardian over the age of 21 years. We welcome children 12 months and over to cruise with us, except on Arcadia and Artemis, which are dedicated to adults over 18 years of age. We are unable to accommodate infants less than 12 months due to limited neo-natal facilities on board. Please note, infants aged 6 months and over are permitted to travel on selected cruises, please enquire at the time of booking.

Children

Parents/guardians are responsible for children at all times. Children under the age of 16 years must not be left unaccompanied on the ship whilst visiting a port of call. Infants aged between 6 months and 2 years must remain with their parent/guardian at all times. If a child displays dangerous or disruptive behaviour, the ‘Rights of the Captain’ will be applied to both parent/guardian and child.

Requirements to travel

Passports, visas and vaccinations are your responsibility. Without the necessary passport, visas and/or vaccinations local authorities may deny you boarding, prevent you from going ashore, issue a fine or deny the ship entry into the port. Passports are required and must be valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of the cruise return. In addition, travel on our cruises will not revalidate an Australian re-entry visa.

Alcohol & gambling

We are committed to the responsible service of alcohol. There may be times when we consider it appropriate to refuse the service of alcohol to a passenger for any reason. Any alcohol purchased ashore may be collected at the gangway for safe keeping and will be returned to you on the last day of your cruise. Passengers must be 18 years of age or older to purchase and drink alcohol or gamble on board P&O Cruises ships at all times. Passengers aged 16 and 17 years may be bought beer, cider or wine to drink with a meal in the restaurants when accompanied by an adult. Government issued photo identification may be requested.

Your health

We care about the health and safety of our passengers. To assist, please advise us at the time of booking if you have any condition that requires medical attention, medication or special treatment. We may also ask you to complete a health questionnaire.

If a passenger has a condition that we decide may seriously affect the enjoyment, health or safety of themselves or any other person on board, we can refuse or cancel a booking, where necessary. We will give reasonable consideration when reaching this decision and will advise you as soon as possible. Provided you have given us all relevant information about the condition at the time of booking, you will be entitled to a full refund if we cancel your booking on the basis of this condition.

On board Medical Centre

Each ship has a Medical Centre that is staffed by registered doctors and nurses, who are available during scheduled times to provide medical care for everyone on board. They are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for medical emergencies. Our Medical Centre is only for medical needs arising on board and cannot cater for treatments that you know you will require while on holiday. We are not a healthcare provider and may not be held liable for the sickness, injury or death of any passenger arising from any advice, treatment, care, services or any omission by medical staff. These medical providers exercise their own medical judgement and expertise.

On board medical charges

All cruises on our ships are outside the scope of Australian Medicare, New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and private health insurance. Consultations, treatments and medications are charged at private rates in Pounds Sterling and must be paid by you and claimed through your travel insurance.

Ship & Itinerary changes

We will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes according to plan; however, sometimes changes can happen that may affect your holiday experience. This could include weather, mechanical difficulties, civil unrest or any other unforeseen circumstances.

In addition, we may charter all or part of the ship or remove the ship from service where this becomes necessary. We may change the itinerary, ship or cancel the cruise due to operational or commercial requirements.

We will notify you of these changes as soon as we can. Where we cancel a cruise or make a significant change to the ports in your itinerary prior to departure, you will have the choice of:

An alternative cruise of comparable standard, if available; or

Cancelling the cruise for a full refund of your fare paid.

If we are required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life or health, we are not required to provide any compensation. With this in mind, please do not make any important arrangements or meetings based on the proposed itinerary.

Rights of the Captain

If a passenger seriously affects the safety, well-being or enjoyment of themselves or any other person on board, the Captain has the right to confine, sedate or disembark the passenger. In such cases, we are not responsible for any expenses including your return home. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds. While the Captain will always act reasonably in these circumstances, you accept that the safety, well-being and enjoyment of everyone on board comes first.

Leaving the cruise early

If you are required or choose to leave the cruise for any reason, we are not responsible for any expenses, including your return home. This also applies if you do not return to the ship after a port visit in time for sailing. If we assist you with any costs, you will need to repay us on your return. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds.

Legal matters

In the unlikely event you have reason to take legal action, you agree to use all reasonable efforts to bring the issue to our attention as soon as possible.

Where permitted by consumer laws and other laws, we shall not be liable for:

Loss of, or damage to, any luggage or other belongings

Sickness, injury or death, unless caused by our proven negligence.

In addition, our liability will be reduced in proportion to any negligence or fault on your part.

This contract is governed by the laws of New South Wales. You agree that any action you bring against us will be heard in New South Wales, unless consumer laws allow you to bring an action elsewhere in Australia.

You agree only to bring action against Carnival plc and not P&O Cruises or any of Carnival plc’s other related bodies corporate as defined in the Corporations Act 2001(Cth), or any other person involved or connected with the ship. You agree that Carnival plc holds the benefit of this promise for itself and also on behalf of the other parties it is intended to protect. If you do take action against any of those parties you will be required to compensate for the full amount of the actual damage or loss sustained, and any costs and expenses incurred by Carnival plc and the other person or persons against whom you claim.

Privacy

Privacy laws safeguard your personal details. Personal information During the booking process and your cruise holiday, we ask for information about you. We collect this information so you receive the highest level of personalised service. After your holiday, your information is stored so we can inform you of any special offers or obtain feedback. If you do not wish to receive such offers or be contacted to provide feedback, please let us know. We may also be required to pass your information onto various third parties such as immigration officials, service providers and insurers. If you consult the medical staff on board, any information shared with them may be made available to relevant people within our own organisation and also externally to medical specialists, insurance providers and our professional advisers.

Security cameras

For the safety and security of our passengers and crew, we use Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to monitor and record public areas on board all our ships. If necessary, this footage may be viewed by our own personnel, advisers and external parties with a relevant interest. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the viewing or other use of this footage.
